ABOUT ME
I'm Xin Yi, a Malaysian commercial producer based in Shanghai, China, with 19 years of experience in advertising and film production.Having lived and worked in China for over 15 years, I've developed a genuine love for the country, its people, and its creative industry. China has become a big part of my life, and I want to help international teams discover what it has to offer.Over the years, I've developed a strong understanding of the local production industry, its working culture, and the challenges international teams may face when filming here.I've worked extensively with international production companies, directors, DOPs, and creative teams. Being multilingual and familiar with different working cultures, I understand the expectations on both sides. I enjoy bringing people together, bridging cultural and communication gaps, and helping international and local teams work smoothly together.I've also built an extensive network of trusted production professionals and resources across China, including experienced crew, equipment suppliers, locations, casting, and specialist services. For me, being a local producer is about more than organising a shoot. It's about connecting people, sharing opportunities, and helping international teams experience the best of what China has to offer.Whether you're planning a commercial shoot in China or need someone on the ground to support your team, I can help you find the right people, solve problems, and make things happen.Languages: English · Mandarin · Cantonese · Malay
